Daredevil bicyclist on I-5 a nuisance to cars, troopers

This s just to sick not to post up ! Its so funny how they are making such a big deal out of this. I just wish they had some good video of him riding fast. Either way this guy is nuts and I hope the police NEVER CATCH HIM ! Buahahahhahaha !

“SEATTLE — Most bike riders know that freeways in metropolitan areas are off limits to cyclists. But today, we got a glimpse of a repeat offender, and police say he’s managed to elude capture for years.
WSDOT first caught sight of him Tuesday around noon on their traffic cameras. A rogue cyclist traveling southbound on Interstate 5 in Seattle, riding on a dangerously narrow shoulder next to the carpool lane.
WSDOT alerted Washington State Patrol, while trying to track him with their cameras. Troopers say it may be the same ghost rider who has appeared in that area over the years. But when they try to arrest him, he disappears.
The cyclist can be seen making his way through downtown, squeezing by cars going a freeway speed. He suddenly stops near the Pike Street overpass, jumps the jersey barrier, and disappears. Seconds later, a trooper goes by but misses him.
Where the cyclist goes from there is a mystery. Below that area are the express lanes, where troopers have even found bikes stashed away between pillars in years gone by.
“Obviously it’s someone who has a really good understanding of where the roads stop and end. Not a lot of people have been on foot in that area,” says trooper Julie Startup.
Biking on the freeway where it’s illegal is a jail-able offense, but troopers say the main concern is safety, not only for the cyclist, but for all the drivers near him.” -by ELISA HAHN / KING 5 News

A Night at the Velodrome by Spazzkid

This is a great video recap of some of what went down a few nights ago at the LA Velodrome in Carson, Ca. This was an intense night at the velodrome in which sadly the USA team lost to Canada. That was not what was important at all and I think after you watch this video I think you will have a better understanding in what I mean by that. I know after I watched this video it really inspired me to not only ride but to want to take another trip to Carson and visit this amazing place. I hope many of you out there that ride fixed gear or fixed freestyle get a chance to watch a live event at a velodrome because this is the roots to all that we see around us now in the fixed gear world. Plus when you see people riding up two story slanted walls and flying by at flatland speeds of 40+ its pretty damn awesome. #YOUKNOWWAZGOOD

“A video collage of the recent US vs Canada track event at the Home Depot Velodrome in Carson, CA. I didn’t finish the whole event but before I left, Canada was kicking US’ ass. All in all a fun and high intensity event. I’ll be back for more!” -Spazzkid
