As Concept Bikes is still technically a “Concept”, I do know that Jordan has been enjoying his Concept prototype which was HAND MADE IN THE U.S.A. by DESTROY which is a GRASSROOTS company based out of Northern California. Now enough talk about the frame and more talk about Jordan’s riding. If you were to go back and watch each video Jordan has made since he started making videos you will see a huge progression over a short time. So I hope he keeps up the hard work and somehow fixes his sweat problem soon hahahaha jk !
After watching this video there is not much more to say except this 17 year old kid Chase LaRue is truly gifted. Steven Jensen posted this video up saying that after only a week Chase has been able to throw truckdrivers with ease. That is incredible just in itself because there is not many people that can throws trucks as it is including pros. I really hope Chase keeps on riding because it this pace he is going to be better than any rider out there.
I have always loved going to Critical Mass bike rides but when I got a chance to help out with a local “Kidical Mass” ride in my community of Long Beach, Ca. I could not help but want to get involved with a awesome event like this for kids. I must give a special thank you to one of the MASHAFIX.com sponsors that donated over $1000 in brand new bicycle HELMETS for these young kids. So from all the kids and parents you helped out and THE WORKSHOP LB we give a HUGE THANK YOU to PRO-TEC HELMETS.

On Sunday August 19, 2012 a large group of parents and their children got together at Los Cerritos Park which is located in Bixby Knolls, Ca.(long beach). This was not just any ordinary bicycle ride. In fact, this is something very special that is put on every month to help young bicycle riders learn to ride as a group while also learning all of the laws of the road to help keep them safe. Kids from all ages showed up on this particular Sunday afternoon to take part in this group bike ride. The Workshop LB has been taking part in this event by offering free bike tune ups and maintenance tips to all parents and kids that come out to Kidical Mass, but this time was even more special because PRO-TEC Helmets has teamed up with The Workshop LB and Mashafix.com to provide free helmets to these young riders. PRO-TEC believes in tradition and so many many adults have grown up wearing PRO-TEC helmets that it is why we pass along this tradition to the kids that come out for this event. We encourage anyone in the LA County and Long Beach, Ca. area to come out and take part in Kidical Mass. So if you missed out on yesterdays garage sale at the Fixie Factory in downtown Long Beach, Ca. then you missed out on some great deals and some good times. I stopped by the sale while I was downtown yesterday afternoon and saw bikes piled high on the front porch of the Fixie Factory with kids all over swapping parts and installing new parts and accessories on their bikes. I myself swooped up a new UNKNOWN BIKE CO. hat and some WOLF DRAWN stickers and patches. I hope they have more sales like this because it is great for the community and gives kids a chance to buy parts they could normally not afford when at regular price.
Omar Sebai and Johnathan Ball have been working hard on this Young Guns Fixed Freestyle video and I can not tell you how excited I am to see this when it is finished. Rumor has it that this will be released in about a month or so. There is going to be so much good young talent all throughout this video. So in the mean time #SMC and get ready for YOUNG GUNS.
Desmond Cook, Brandon Tomita, Ken Wong Tong Ngyuen, Justin Paul Rojas Jr, and John Jello …. STRAIGHT UP KILL IT HERE !!! I swear its so crazy how much all you guys progress and just keep getting better and better. I swear when a buddy of mine was about to hit up Desmond for a cog he wanted to buy I just had to ask to film with these kids and get some clips. Stoked to see these guys going hard !
Now when I first saw this I could not decide if it was fake or real. I think until the day I see these items in person and for sale I can not trust that this is for real. The concept is very creative although it may a bit cumbersome to wear a neck piece like that in hot climates even opposed to wearing a helmet. I wish these airbags were also installed in the helmets we ride with today however we may see those too in the near future. Now there is rumor that these have gone for sale already in Europe but I can not find any info on that to back it up. No matter what these helmets are super sick but what would happen if you hit something with sharp edge … will that puncture these “invisible helmets” and cause them to fail ? Or will the inflation of a bag full of air be enough to prevent head trauma or even pressure that may be applied to your head following a crash or even worse multiple impacts ? ….. I guess I need more proof of these being safe or real. #realtalk
These helmets are for sale here at this website called HOVDING. Thanks to Antonyo Wothe for finding out where to get these INVISIBLE HELMETS.
“If people say it’s impossible we have to prove them wrong.”
Design students Anna and Terese took on a giant challenge as an exam project. Something no one had done before. If they could swing it, it would for sure be revolutionary. The bicycle is a tool to change the world. If we use bikes AND travel safe: Life will be better for all.

WHAT IS KIDICAL MASS?
Kidical Mass is a legal, safe and FUN bike ride for kids, kids at heart, and their families. The first ride was held in April 2008 in Eugene, Oregon and has now spread to over a dozen communities throughout North America and beyond. The rides are meant to be family friendly bike rides through a community.
Kidical Mass Bixby Knolls will host rides that connect the community to the businesses in Bixby Knolls. Our goal is to show people how easy it is to get around in Bixby Knolls by bike and support local business.
All types of bikes, trailers, trail-a-bikes, Xtracycles, longtails, bakfiets, Long Johns, tandems, folders, trikes, and whatever rolls are welcome! We celebrate the fact that Kids are Traffic Too and aim for family fun on vehicles that don’t hurt the future! It’s just another excuse to pedal around town with your family.
So when I first saw this video I could not help but chuckle a bit to myself about how funny it would be to watch this video with some Beavis and Butthead style commentary but I still am thinking about doing that but in the mean time I took some screenshots of some of the people that are interviewed throughout this video and shared some of their best quotes from the video. Either way you look at this video its funny and also passes along some great information along to young Latino riders out there to get inspired to ride a fixie bike. It is so awesome to see so many kids getting on these bikes that I love. I just wish some people would educate themselves a bit more on the bikes and their history but either way this fixed gear phenomenon is here to stay and grow.
EMMANUEL – 18 years old
Huntington Park, Ca.
“A fixie are way faster than mountain bike, speed bikes, anything. Because they are single gear.”
“If you cruz around too, You find white people, Black people.”
JASMINE – 18 years old
San Gabriel, Ca.
“Well they say its easier cuz like you just keep going ya know. You don’t have to struggle with the pedals.”
JOE
Bike Lane – Mid City Bicycle Shop
(Joe is a real Latino … peep the hickey on his neck. That is legit)
“Well it’s just something that came back up, it’s actually something ahh that was used back in the day, a fixie riding. Where you pedal forward and backward and now it’s just something fun for kids to do.”
ROGER – 18 years old
Los Angeles, Ca.
“There’s tricking fixies and then there’s riding fixies.”
“Not many people like it, think think it’s dangerous, but to me ………………. it’s uhh …. it’s…… I just like doing it. I like biking, I like riding, and to get faster and to lie get somewhere maybe like get sponsored or do something with the bike.”
OZY – 17 years old
Mid City, Ca.
“Well if you don’t have a brake some cities are really, nah like mean. Like so they stop you and if you don’t have a brake or a helmet or if its dark and you don’t have a light they will give you a ticket. And then, and then … well they like give you a ticket. So yeah, that’s only like the cities that are evil.”
ONYX – 18 years old
Los Angeles, Ca.
“And the thing about the wind cutters is ahh, the flyers right here are everything. Ahh I pretty much put it too my liking. Ahh these are raves, Sunset Shuffle, Starbucks, and on the other side we have Reggaeton is for music.”
This is a great video showing how a cyclist is able to recover his stolen bike and also capture this experience on video to share with everyone in the world. So to break down what had happened here, the guy who made this video had got his bike stolen about a week prior to this video. When he saw his bike reposted for sale on Craigslist he decided to take action with a group of friends and confront the thief and try and recover his stolen bike. When arriving to their meeting spot the original bike owner was greeted by the thief and his girlfriend. After the thief is called out for stealing the bike and was told that the police where on their way he began to run away from the scene and later gets caught by a cop while he was throwing bike parts so he was not caught with anything. The story even gets better. The thief is arrested and booked with a felony charge of “trafficking stolen property” and his car was also impounded in a result of is arrest. This is something that rarely happen but we all need to watch stuff like this and learn from other peoples mistakes and experiences. I definitely can not stand anyone who steals bikes so I hope we can come together to help prevent more people like this from continuing to steal or bikes !
