So this past Saturday was a blast !! I had so much fun out there with everybody that came out to the event. I remember showing up to the Staples Center to see hundreds of riders having fun and ready for a fun filled day of riding. I will be making a video of this event so be prepared for that. I want to thank all my cameramen that came out to help film this event because without all of your help I would not have been able to do this to the scale I wanted to. I want to encourage anyone who was at this event to email me their photos and or video clips to mashafix@gmail.com along with their information so I may credit you for your work if it is used. I also want to thank all of the Sponsors that helped make this day happen. My intent was to make this day dedicated to all the kids out there that support Mashafix.com and everything I do. Without all of you out there showing your support for the blog this past year I do not think I could have kept it going so I thank all of my fans out there. I plan on throwing more and more events so be prepared for that because it is all about giving back to the cycling community in which I love so much. So stay tuned to Mashafix.com for more updates and photos ! #YOUKNOWWAZGOOD

MASHAFIX bike check with jahrome

Now out of all the bikes I own this has to be one of my all time favorites for sure. Master painter JOSH HARRIS did an amazing paint job on my LDG AERO FRAME. When you hear the term “candy paint”, well here it is ! When the sun hits this paint job it is almost blinding with all metallic red flake in the paint. What really surprised me was the overall weight of this bike. I was expecting it to be a bit heavier because of the paint however it is still easily under 16 pounds. I was able to shave quite a bit of weight by using all carbon fiber components. The LDG FRAMES were specifically designed around the EASTON EC90 products so if you are in the market for one of these FRAMES then I suggest using these parts as well for they are readily available at the LDG storefront in Huntington beach, Ca. I would like to give a special thanks to all the guys at LDG for helping me build this bike up.

PROTECT IP / SOPA Breaks The Internet by Fight for the Future – 12 HOUR SOPA BLACKOUT FROM MASHAFIX.COM STARTS NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

PROTECT IP / SOPA Breaks The Internet from Fight for the Future on Vimeo.

Tell Congress not to censor the internet NOW! – http://www.fightforthefuture.org/pipa

I for one really was impelled to share this as soon as I saw the BLACKOUT posts by TTv and PROLLY this video explaining what is going on is very informative and very important that we all take this seriously. This is going to ruin everything we do and love on the internet just so people in the entertainment world can make a few extra bucks. This is nothing new at all… for example this reminds me of the “BICYCLISTS BILL OF RIGHTS” which was something that I know cyclists in California and other states have fought to pass which does not change the law it only reinterprets our already given rights to the road. This law if passed will actually change everything and not just state the right they have already. It makes every website and individual liable for their actions and anything someone writes or posts about on their domain or site. This is a bunch of horse shit and I hope all of you go to the LINK TO SIGN PETITION which I saw on PROLLY’S WEBSITE so PLEASE go to the link and SIGN THE PETITION !!!!!

PROTECT-IP is a bill that has been introduced in the Senate and the House and is moving quickly through Congress. It gives the government and corporations the ability to censor the net, in the name of protecting “creativity”. The law would let the government or corporations censor entire sites– they just have to convince a judge that the site is “dedicated to copyright infringement.”

The government has already wrongly shut down sites without any recourse to the site owner. Under this bill, sharing a video with anything copyrighted in it, or what sites like Youtube and Twitter do, would be considered illegal behavior according to this bill.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, this bill would cost us $47 million tax dollars a year — that’s for a fix that won’t work, disrupts the internet, stifles innovation, shuts out diverse voices, and censors the internet. This bill is bad for creativity and does not protect your rights.

MashafixAnarchysquareBlack

Here is a recap of 39 videos I have put together since the end of July this year. It has only been about 5 -6 mothes since I started MASHAFIX.com and when I started making videos; I did them on my iPhone when I very first started. I still use the iPhone when I am on the go and need to shoot, edit, and upload something real quick. Regardless this 2011 year has been amazing. I have met so many influential people and learned so much. I first started www.MASHAFIX.com in hope to capture peoples passions in life and make videos to post. After A while I started making more and more videos and the blogging aspect has just become way to much fun. I love watching life from other peoples lives and sharing it with the world. I look forward to bringing you more and more videos for the new 2012 year. Mashafix presents – iMinUSD Trick Comp Setember 11, 2011 San Jose, Ca.

I recently traveled up to Northern California on a mission to capture some of the best Fixed Gear riders in the world. On September 11, 2011 I traveled to San Jose, Ca. for the 2nd. annual iMiNUSD freestyle fixed gear trick competition. The day started out with a train ride from San Francisco. I was able to travel with two of the best FSFG riders ever Josh Boothby and Matt Reyes to the event which was amazing because they took both 1st. and 2nd. place in the trick comp that day so I will never forget that day for sure. Especially because Mr. “Boothby All Day” after the competition was over decided to take his riding to the street and led the group we were riding with into a driveway full of thorns which made all of our tubes go flat at the same time ….. so thanks again ! LOL ! But besides that it was a day full of great riding and good times. The turn out was really good attracting people of all ages to come out and spectate. I swear iMiNUSD couldn’t have picked anyone better than Wonka to announce the comp. I went through hours of footage and I swear his commentary is priceless. I have had so much fun on this trip up north filming and I even got a chance to film with some of the iMiNUSD team riders prior to the event and visited there storefront located in San Jose, Ca. I was very impressed with there store. They literally carry almost everything in stock for all your Track or Trick parts and accessories. I really like the vibe I got when I got there I saw a group of kids and riders outside hanging out and the employees were very friendly. It was definitely a community bike shop and a place I would recommend to anyone. I also met the owner Mark at the comp and he was awesome and even gave me a shirt to rep and I been doing just that down south here in Long Beach, Ca. Well I hope you all enjoy this video I put together from the trick comp. I want to give a special thanks to Jay for holding down the extra cam to get a some different angles and thanks to Greyboy for providing the music for the video. Mashafix Official Ally Cat Race #1 Video

So this was the very first Official Mashafix Ally Cat Race that met at Rick Wickeds located in Long Beach , Ca. I got a chance to follow some of the riders and film and at appx. the 2:00 minutes marks I get pulled over for “impeding traffic” because a friend was filming out the window …. while a rider was skitching the car. Besides that the night was fun and Candace our only girl in the field took first place. So stoked to see girls out here riding with the boys. Second place was taken by Mike and Third by SK. I want to thank Rick Wickeds for donating some prizes for the race and giving us the location to hold the event. Check out www.rickwickeds.com and come out on Oct. 21st for the next Ally Cat. 3410 East 11th. St. Long Beach, Ca.
