STUNT MAN JOE “super fan”

Joe McKeag was recently featured on a new video series called FAN ACADEMY ON IGN. In this first episode Joe shows us a few tricks that were used in the soon to be released movie Premium Rush. Here are a few tricks Joe demonstrates for us below. Joe is a SUPERSTAR NOW !

The “SUPER FAN” Joe McKeag gives us a great demonstration of 3 tricks used by “Wiley” in the movie Premium Rush to get away from the villains.

TRICK #1 The “POWER SKID”

1.) Get up out of the saddle and press your hips up against your bars.
2.) With one foot you press down and with the other foot you pull up while keeping your feet level.

TRICK #2 “180 Degree Spin”

This trick is a two part move.

1.) Pedal backwards
2.) When you are ready to do a 180 press down with your back foot then pull up on your bars and throw the bike around as hard as you can 180 degrees and then start peddling forward in that direction.

TRICK #3 “Bunny Hop”

1.) Get a lot of speed
2.) Lift your front wheel up as if you are doing a wheelie and then trust yourself out of your seat and throw your knees up towards your chest.

PHOTOS EDITED BY – Mashafix.com

So this past Saturday was a blast !! I had so much fun out there with everybody that came out to the event. I remember showing up to the Staples Center to see hundreds of riders having fun and ready for a fun filled day of riding. I will be making a video of this event so be prepared for that. I want to thank all my cameramen that came out to help film this event because without all of your help I would not have been able to do this to the scale I wanted to. I want to encourage anyone who was at this event to email me their photos and or video clips to mashafix@gmail.com along with their information so I may credit you for your work if it is used. I also want to thank all of the Sponsors that helped make this day happen. My intent was to make this day dedicated to all the kids out there that support Mashafix.com and everything I do. Without all of you out there showing your support for the blog this past year I do not think I could have kept it going so I thank all of my fans out there. I plan on throwing more and more events so be prepared for that because it is all about giving back to the cycling community in which I love so much. So stay tuned to Mashafix.com for more updates and photos ! #YOUKNOWWAZGOOD

MIDWEST MAYHEM 3 x TTH13TTH x #youknowWazgood

Its about that time again and Midwest Mayhem 3 is about to kick off this Saturday June 9, 2012. This years event is shaping up to be even better than last years. With riders making their ways across the states by plane and car you can be sure to see some killer footage from this comp when all is said and done. I was able to snag a few pics off instagram from Gus Molina, Pissy, and Kris Sundet. I think Kris Sundet’s photo of the “monster truck” was epic enough to say this is whats about to go down in the Midwest. Gus has been working hard on making this years shirts for the comp and I was able to snag some photos compliments of TTH13TTH and he also had this sick video showing off the new shirts. Some epic stuff here for sure and I am sad to not have been able to make it out to this years comp. Look forward to updates on this fixed freestyle event about to go down. Not to mention they will showing off two of the sickest videos out SHREDWELL 2 and CAN’T FOOL THE YOUTH !!!!! #youknowWazgood

These shirts will be a only be available at the comp and a very limited supply will be available at the TTH13TTH GIFT STORE.

Mashafix.com – RED BULL ride + style 2012 – pt. 2

RED BULLride + style 2012

The year was definitely better than last years RED BULL ride + style. The race course was set up much better in my opinion; last year because of some of the turns on the course you would miss some of the action depending where you were standing. This year they kept everything front and center giving everyone access to get a good view on the action going on. As far as the freestyle course; well I can not say much more than the art work was straight up on point and the layout was set up to accommodate the fixed freestyle riders to put together more creative lines. The format that they had this year was much better letting each rider have time to show off individually compared to 6 man jam sessions like last year. This really opened the course up for these guys by not having to worry about other riders getting in their way. This is the first set of photos I have released from this event and I will be posting the rest later as well.
