Now this video was posted after a an accident on the track left on rider sidelined with an injury. Now there is a few different ways to look at this video and interpret what had happened but after closely watching this and talking to both riders I can say this. Both of these riders were cool before this accident and there is no reason why Edgar would cause Alonso to crash purposely. I personally have been on a ride with both of these guys prior to this so I know this. Second I would like to say that this was Edgar’s first time riding on the velodrome since getting certified so when he hit that bank on the final turn you can see as he accelerates he can not help but pull straight left and this causes him to crash into Alonso. It was in noway intentional but just a beginner mistake and I know Edgar is very sorry for this and has began training himself to become a better racer. Since this accident he has apologized and I think that is the right thing to do. Let’s face it when you go out to a velodrome and ride on a track full of amateur and beginner riders that in some cases do not even need to be certified to ride on the track which is also a danger in its self there is a high risk of a accident happening. When racing in any sport there is going to be accidents so lets all keep that in mind and also try and think that no body no matter who it is goes out to race and cause a accident or even be in one themselves.
